# Introducing Flora Figures

I am ready to announce my newest artist book: Flora Figures. The pencils are down, pixels in their final positions, outputs selected and proofs approved. It is the culmination of my work with [Minipix](https://mellogood.substack.com/p/minipix) and fascination with [Kazumasa Ogawa‘s Tree Pæony](https://www.getty.edu/art/collection/object/108QM6).

While [one part of my practice](https://mellogood.substack.com/p/living-with-coding-agi) is accelerating ever faster, [bookmaking](https://mellogood.substack.com/p/how-books-fit-into-my-practice) remains slower and meditative. I, of course, wrote my own stack for creating this book but the actual printing and binding is now in the hands of Lyndsey and team at [Risolve](https://risolvestudio.com).

Unable to pull lever of the [slot machine](https://are.na/romello-goodman/slot-machine-coding) or send another prompt. Now I wait. A true one-shot.

I am beyond excited to finish this project and see the final output. I will debuting it at Black Zine Fair this year in Brooklyn.
