# Minipix Kaleidoscope Renderer

I've written a new [renderer](https://mellogood.substack.com/p/rendering-minipix) for [Minipix](https://mellogood.substack.com/p/minipix): Kaleidoscope. The renderer examines your image and asks: "What if every piece could see itself?" It divides the picture into a grid of squares, then mirrors each one so that every tile contains its own symmetry. As the grid multiplies, the original image dissolves into pattern, the way a word loses meaning when you repeat it enough times. Through small repetitions the culminative effect is a fragment that feels infinite.

**P.S.** — This renderer is more prone to bad outcomes than the others but for me that elevates the "good outputs". It feels more like digging through dirt to find a gem.
