Others' thoughts on ai + art

Generative AI is the talk of the town. Where last year it was Web3 and NFTs, this year every company is running to integrate ai into their tools and people are speculating that the end is near for all of my creative fields: software engineering, design, and art. My thinking on this changes almost daily but while the drum beats get louder, I wanted to offer this.
