Oscilloscopes Regenerated
Oscilloscopes Regenerated, after Ben Laposky (1914–2000).
Ben Laposky’s ‘Oscillons’ were a series of photos created by using an oscilloscope. Laposky used it to manipulate electronic waves that were then displayed on a fluorescent screen. The waves would have been constantly moving and undulating on the screen and through photography a record of their movement was captured.
A new series that attempts to create the oscilloscope timelapse from Laposky’s original system. Watch them in movement at oscillion.romellogoodman.com.
